"Saturday’s win at UTEP was Turner Gill’s 16th as head coach at UB. To put in perspective the job Gill has done at Buffalo, the Bulls won 16 games total in the nine years prior to his hiring (1997-05).
Gill is two wins shy of tying Doc Urich (1966-68) for fifth in school history in wins.
With the win over UTEP, Buffalo has now won seven of its last nine games dating back to last season. That 7-2 record is the best stretch of football in UB’s Division I-A history (1999-present) and the best run since the Bulls went 8-2 from the third week of the 1996 season thru the opener of the 1997 season. Buffalo competed as a Division I-AA Independent during those
seasons"
Can't say enough about what the man has done done for UB football...
