Tom Dienhart reports that Ohio State wide receivers coach Darrell Hazell will be hired as the new head coach of the Kent State Golden Flashes. Coach Hazell is the best wide receivers coach in the country, and his loss will definitely hurt. But he deserves it. Coach Hazell will win at Kent State, and we wish him all the luck in the world there.
As a possible replacement, look for current Rutgers wide receivers coach P.J. Fleck to be interviewed. He was a graduate assistant under Hazell in 2006, and is an excellent recruiter.
Current and former Ohio State players went to Twitter to wish Coach Hazell luck, and if it wasn't clear how loved he was before, it is now.
