Big Ten Membership: Buffalo, Central Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame*, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin Champion: Ohio State Demoted to MAC: Buffalo Like Rice, Buffalo took a step backwards in 2009. A #WMU Blog joins the MAC blogosphere!
"After a thorough review of the program, a change in leadership is needed in order to improve the overall performance of the program," athletic director Dave Heeke said in a statement today posted on CMU’s athletics Web site. "I appreciate Coach Zeigler's commitment to Central Michigan University and his hard work on and off the court. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors." You can't say Matt did not do his part in trying to settle this Temple mess
The #MACsketball Social Lounge will provide attendees of the tournament the ability to network in their own private, Wi-Fi enabled suite. There will be a total of 4-5 people chosen per day (they each get to bring a guest) and those people will cover the MAC Tournament from a "fan perspective". The people selected will interact with others on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms during the games and will cover the event just like any other media member.
Teams will play tomorrow at noon due to weather. Which means we will still know exactly what's at stake when we tip off at 6.
Buffalo has a 3-7 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes an 0-2 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-1 record against AP ranked teams. While the Bulls have no quality wins, they're weighed down by two bad losses including RPI #108 Kent State and RPI #237 Miami (OH).
