What I had to say about spoon in 2009 I'll always be a supporter of athletics on campus as an enhancement of the university environment. Witherspoon has been above reproach in its behavior towards recruits. His players behavior on and off the courts has been similarly impressive. Because of the class, and twenty win seasons, I have to lean towards supporting Spoon. His contract runs out in 2012 and nobody has presented a compelling reason to fire a coach who gets you twenty wins a year and does so with players who you can be proud to call Bulls.
Spectrum with the story of DJ Cooper stealing a poster of him in a swimsuit. No amount of points, assists, rebounds or steals can make that image go away.
"Be prepared for referees from each major conference to make a total disaster of this in their own way." Conferences listed, SEC, ACC, B1G, P12, B12 &...the MAC.
Imagine BO, Neutz, Mack and Means sent out of practice, so our new coach can focus on the future. While going 1-4 again, it would be infuriating.
The mother of UB receiver Fred Lee said Tuesday night she's still "very upset" about a physical altercation between her son and UB teammate Khalil Mack, especially since she wasn't informed about what transpired until three days later.
Trevor scored a TD that was called back, but displayed his awareness and hustle that we all loved in Buffalo.
Another run in with the law for UGA, star RB Isaiah Crowell, (best known for committing to UGA by unveiling a real Bulldog puppy) is charged with felony gun possession.
Felisha Legette-Jack has been hired as the new head coach of the University at Buffalo women's basketball team. Legette-Jack was the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball team for the past six seasons up until she was fired in March, finishing with a career record of 87-113. The Hoosiers made it to the WNIT in Legette-Jack's first three seasons at the helm, but have failed to make to the postseason since, going 6-24 this past season.
Good summary of the players in the MAC who might have an impact in the 2013 NFL Draft. UB Bulls represented by DE Steven Means.
The difference for Buffalo this year will be whether or not they can take a step forward on defense. Last year they were a middle of the road MAC defense (6th in total defense, 8th in scoring defense). They have a very strong LB corps (Phil Steele ranks it third in the MAC) but they have questions along the line and in the defensive backfield. From an experience standpoint, this is going to be one of the youngest teams in the MAC. This looks like it will be another year where the Bulls take a small step forward (in terms of being competitive) and hope to make that big jump in 2013.
