Checking in from RockChalkTalk, KU's SBN blog - as you might have noticed, there have been some SERIOUS problems for Coach Gill since he's taken over at Kansas. The biggest issues seem to be basic football ones: discipline, effort, energy, and fundamentals like tackling, blocking, penalties. It's hard to believe that Gill's teams always had these problems, or he never would have succeeded at Buffalo, either. I read an old comment from Bull Run where Gill was originally known as a disciplinarian, but that faded and the players were starting to run amok in the later days of his tenure there. Any thoughts on when or why it changed? and if he can get his mojo back?
