Skinner enters his senior season poised to be a rock in the Buffalo defense. After bursting onto the scene with 31 tackles in his first month as a redshirt freshman on the field, the linebacker from Dayton inserted himself into the starting lineup and hasn't looked back, finishing second on the team in total tackles each of his three seasons and starting all thirteen games in 2013. |

About 1924: | |
In all of Coach Russ Carrick's career with UB, the good guys would win just five games. Only one of those five came in the 1924 season, Coach Carrick's first in Buffalo. UB topped in-state foe St. Lawrence 7-0 on October 18th before losing their next three games to Davis & Elkins, Clarkson, and Rochester by a combined score of 95-7. Finishing the season 1-7, Buffalo would look ahead to their 1925 season opener against Toledo to turn over a new leaf. |

Coach - Russ Carrick |
Buffalo was coached by Russ Carrick who found some success while playing for Colgate a decade earlier. As a coach he was not nearly as effective. Carrick's four year span at Buffalo was one of the schools worst periods. Coach Carrick owns the longest losing streak in school history. He coached Buffalo from 1924 to 1928 and won just five games. His career record was 5-30-2. His 1926 Edition want 0-7 losing to cross town rival Niagara 60-0, and his entire career is entirely glossed over in the Bulls' Media Guide |
Gov- Al Smith |
Al Smith was the four time Governor of New York State and the Democratic U.S. presidential candidate in 1928, the first Irish American to be nominated by one of the political parties for that office. Part of his legacy is that he was linked to the notorious Tammany Hall machine that controlled New York City's politics. |
