Natey Adjei was never a big impact player at Buffalo but he is one of the more athletically gifted receivers to suit up for the Blue and White. The Mississauga,Ontario, native played two years for the city college of San Fransisco before transferring to UB.He was an important part of CCSF's Northern California Conference championship and two Conference Championship wins.
His work at Saint Josephs in Canada, and with CCSF motivated Toronto to trade their 39th, 40th and 44th overall picks to Saskatchewan so they could grab Adjei as their 3rd pick (22nd overall).
As a valued non import receiver the Argo's even visited UB's pro day despite the fact that they had already secured rights to the UB senior. His is known for squatting over 600 pounds and run a sub 4.4 40-yard dash.
“We thought he had excellent quickness out of the break. His top-end speed was adequate to be a quality slot receiver in this league and he’s a tough guy,” Argos general manager Jim Barker
Adjei was not able to get signed on as an undrafted free agent in the NFL so he decided to stay close to home and play for the Argos. If the Canadian football league and their players can come to terms in time to save the 2014 season Ajdei will be a fun player to watch.
