Know your Bulls is a countdown to the kick off. If will look at every single UB football player on the roster. When the players number matches the number of days remaining then it's his turn in the spotlight.
From: Brighton, Michigan (Transfer from the Cincinnati Bear Cats)
Sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules
Ryan Paxson has not yet seen a down of football at the NCAA level but there is still reason to think he could make a impact for the Bulls, just not this season.
Paxson was ranked as the second best defensive tackle and the 14th best overall player in state of Maryland by Rivals in 2009. He signed up with Cincinnati Bearcats but was sidelined with injuries his freshman year.
With the coaching changes in Cincinnati he and several other Bearcats came to Buffalo. Chazz Anderson was able to play his one remaining year right away because he was a graduate student and Romel Dismuke did not manage to stick it out at UB.
Of the Cincinnati transfers only Paxon is left. Because of the injuries in 2010, and the year lost to his transfer Paxon is a reshirt Sophomore heading into this year. While he does not appear on the summer depth he may see time this season on special teams. UB has plenty of seniors and Juniors in the linebacking corps so Ryan will have a chance to work his way in next year if not sooner.
