Danny white came to Buffalo with one primary goal, rake in some Green to a cash strapped Athletics department. He took that task quite literally.

University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Danny White announced on Thursday that Allen Greene has been hired as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration. Greene comes from the University of Mississippi where he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Development and Priority Seating. -- UB Athletics

Green will be in charge of football, sports performance, athletic training, business operations, human resources and capital projects (emphasis mine).

Its a natural hire for several reasons. First Green was a coworker of Whites at Mississippi, not only did he work with the Athletic department but he also was a part of White's UMAA Foundation, the fund raising arm of Ole Miss Athletics. He was also accountable for football and basketball ticket sales.

Besides those two roles he was in charge of major gift fund raising, an area that UB needs to milk until they can change the local culture to the point where small donors are "pulling their weight"

Green is basically replacing Paul Vecchio who left UB to take over the Athletics department at Alfred.
