CIT Round One: Bulls come away from American with a win.

Javon McCrea scored 18 points in 19 minutes as the Bulls routed Amierican University n round one of the CIT tournament. McCrea was one of three Bulls in double figures, also scoring more than ten were Seniors Zach Filzen and Mitchell Watt.

In what was a close game early Buffalo exploded on a 16-0 scoring run to turn an 18-15 lead into a 34-15 advantage. Ten different players scored for Buffalo, UB also had ten players pull down a rebound. The Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and dominated play inside, outscoring the Eagles, 38-22, in the paint.

While UB was putting up good offensive numbers their defense held the Eagles to 34 percent shooting. American had been were shooting over 40 percent from three to ranked 10th in the nation. UB limited them to just 7-of-27 shooting from beyond the arc.

The second round of the CIT will not be set until the last game of this round are completed tomorrow night.
