"After a thorough review of the program, a change in leadership is needed in order to improve the overall performance of the program," athletic director Dave Heeke said in a statement today posted on CMU’s athletics Web site. "I appreciate Coach Zeigler's commitment to Central Michigan University and his hard work on and off the court. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors." Zeigler’s son and star guard Trey Zeigler tweeted this morning, "It’s been real." and McBroom tweeted "Bye Bye Central, it's been a pleasure!"
