Julian Kaminoff Chooses Buffalo

via bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com

If there is one area on Buffalo's defense that needs work its the defensive backfield. Sure they were a young unit this year but the squad never really looked to have it together and Quarterbacks torched them more often than not.

So Julian Kaminoff, UB's most recent verbal is walking on to a team that might need his services and the may need them soon.

Kaminoff, who played both safety and running back for the New Hope Lions took an offer from UB to come on as a safety. He also played a role returning punts and often would play a wide out position throughout his carer

"Julian committed to the University of Buffalo as a free safety," -- Richard Kaminoff

Star-divide

Kaminoff was reportedly sitting on offers from Fordham and Temple before settling with Buffalo.

Julian joins other defensive backs C.J. Stancil, Malcolm Robinson, and William Rembert as 'confirmed' verbal commitments. There were also reports that Cass Tech standout Brandon Berry had verballed but he is still taking visits.

He is a solid athlete, one of those guys that you know is going to fit somewhere, anywhere, you decide to put him.247 Sports describes him as "a playmaker in all three facets of the game".

It's doubtful that the Running Back spot is going to be open any time soon, although UB has yet to garner a verbal from a half back. More likely he will quickly end up in the defensive backfield or on special teams in some capacity those are both areas that sorely lacked big plays last season.

Great pick up,

I’m reading he had an offer from Temple, I’m reading he is an honor roll student, and so talented a Philadelphia Coach offered to pay a student to injure him (gasp, that’s not the Philadelphia I know)

Morrisville (Pa.) High assistant football coach Jason Bresnen offered $100 to any of his players who could knock out the star running back for New Hope-Solesbury (Pa.) High during New Hope’s 29-6 victory on Saturday. Though the player on whom Bresnen placed the bounty has not officially been revealed, New Hope running back Julian Kaminoff scored three touchdowns before Bresnen allegedly loudly declared to his players on the sideline that he would give $100 to anyone who knocked the player out of the game.
