Tale of the tape - Week 3 UB vs. Ball State

UB starts the MAC portion of the schedule this weekend.  UB's first MAC foe is Ball State.  Both teams have the same record of 1 -1.  Both games for UB and Ball State were non-division MAC games.  Buffalo opened with a loss to Pittsburgh (35-16) and beat Stony Brook (35 - 7).  Ball State beat interstate rival Indiana (27 - 20) and lost to South Florida (37 - 7)  South Florida's win over Ball State moved them into the 22nd ranking.

Pro's and Con's when looking at these numbers.  Ball State will say that Pitt is no USF.  True.  Although, Pitt's RB Ray Graham is the number one ranked RB in NCAA.

Other noticeable statistics for either team in the top 25.

Brandon Oliver for Buffalo is the 19th ranked running back.  Also rated the 15th rated in scoring.

The Pass defense

We are going to learn something about our Pass defense. I’m not sure if we will like what we learn but I expect this may be their biggest test of the year.

I hope we bring the safeties up

Ball state has about 90% of their pass completions under 10 yards, most of them under 5 yards. I hope we force them to beat us deep…hopefully our corners are up for the task.

Kent State, Temple, Akron too, they can't do it like we do.
Falcons, Bobcats and Redhawks talk a lot can't back it up.
