As a Bulls fan, one of my favorite things is seeing UB alum make it in the pros. Whether it was watching Scott thrive as a pass-rusher with the Raiders (who promptly switched to a 3-4 and limited his effectiveness. Having Richard snap to Manning, or Roosevelt earn a roster spot with the Bulls, I believe that former players going on to successful careers in the NFL is not only good for the fans, but good for the program as well. Unfortunately as many of these guys fly under the radar, I have a hard time keeping up, and was hoping for some help. Here's what I know, please throw any info you have out here too.
Roosevelt- Seems like a lock for the roster on the Bills, solid if unspectacular performances this preseason. He's their leading receiver as of now with six catches for 41 yards.
D. Shannon- Came up big in the Skins last preseason game with 4 tackles, a sack, and another tackle for loss. However it seems that Redskins writers have no interest in UDFAs
For the preseason he's ninth on the Redskins with 7 tackles
M. Newton- He's on the Colts, that's all I know. 2 tackles this preseason- Colt's do look thin at Safety
Willy- On Jets, just one pass attempt this preseason
Starks- Talk of Grant not starting for Packers, he has 2 carries for 14 yards this preseason
D. Cook- Looked good at the start of Camp for the bills. Got hurt was waived/injured. Nobody claimed him, Bills came to injury settlement with him today putting him on IR
J. Richard- Colts- still on the roster but Stampede Blue isn't expecting him to make it through final cuts
T. Scott- Raiders- Practiced on August 22nd for the first time since tearing his acl in week 10
That's all I have, please let me know if there's any more news on any of these guys, or if I'm missing someone.
Go Bulls!
