It's Zordich!

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo head football coach Jeff Quinn has announced his starting quarterback for the Homecoming weekend game versus Temple.

 “After evaluation of practice this week, we’ve decided to start with Alex Zordich versus Temple,” said Quinn. “Both quarterbacks – Alex and Jerry Davis – are prepared to play and help this football team get better.”

Quinn also announced his captains for the game as seniors Josh Thomas, Davonte Shannon and Domonic Cook and junior Marcus Rivers will serve that role.

Kickoff is set for 12 noon at UB Stadium between the Bulls and the Owls.

Zordich is the younger brother of Penn State linebacker Mike Zordich and son of former Penn State and Philadelphia Eagles star Michael Zordich.He was a late commits who's Cardinal Mooney High School team finished a perfect 15-0 last season and captured the Ohio Division III state championship.

Last week Zordich saw apot duty at the end of the NIU game.
